Accessibility

Some of the principles of accessible design which we aim to support are:

a. providing text equivalents for any non-text components (e.g. images, multimedia);
b. using hyperlinks that make sense when read out of context;
c. avoiding the use of HTML frames;
d. using CSS rather than HTML tables for layout unless absolutely essential;
e. authoring the page so that when the source code is read line-by-line (for example by screen reader software) it remains intelligible;
f. using logical tags rather than visual tags;
g. limiting the use of new windows opening on links.
